I'm Mia Stone, and Anubis Wrath is directly in my lane. PG Soft's May 2024 release opens on a lapis-blue canvas with a 5x4 reel grid and five Multiplier Reel boxes running across the top. Before the first spin you can already read the values in those boxes: x3 to x500, each one sitting ready, waiting for an Anubis symbol to activate it from below. I've played plenty of Egypt-themed slots that are just a costume change over a generic payline engine. This one built something real around that god figure. Here is what I found across 1,019 spins.

How Anubis Wrath Works

The grid is 5x4, 1,024 fixed ways to win. No paylines to pick - everything adjacent from left to right pays, which I find cleaner to read on the fly than a 20-line setup. Bet range runs from $0.20 minimum to $100.00 maximum, calculated across 20 base positions and two multiplier sliders.

Every win cascades. Winning symbols vanish and the stack above drops to fill the gap - the game keeps evaluating until nothing new forms. In practice that means one spin can pay out across four or five sequential steps if the board keeps producing.

The Multiplier Reel is the feature that distinguishes Anubis Wrath from a standard cascade title. At the start of every spin, five boxes at the top of the reel area reveal values between x3 and x500 each - one per reel column. When an Anubis symbol lands on a reel, that reel's multiplier activates and holds through the full spin resolution. The key point: activated multipliers sum at the end, not multiply each other. Land Anubis on three reels with values of x200, x300, and x400 and the result is x900 applied to the total spin win - not the compounded figure those numbers would suggest if they multiplied. That sum structure is how PG Soft keeps the math workable while still enabling a 10,000x ceiling.

I tracked the Multiplier Reel reveal through hundreds of spins. At the start of each spin, the five boxes flash their values left to right in sequence before the reels below start moving - each box settling on its number over about a second at standard play speed. When no Anubis symbol lands, the values disappear without effect. When one does, that box holds its glow while the win total calculates. After a hundred spins or so the pattern becomes reflexive: watch the top row for glowing boxes, watch the bottom for the total.

The Wild appears on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 only. It substitutes for all symbols except Scatter. The first reel carries no Wild - a restriction that limits left-anchored combinations more than it looks at first glance.

Bonus Features

Free Spins trigger on 3+ Scatters anywhere on the reels - 15 spins to start, with each extra Scatter at the trigger adding 3 more on top. Retriggers are live during the feature. In my 1,019-spin session the trigger came four times, which is a rate I'd call consistent with the published high-volatility classification.

The accumulated multiplier is what actually justifies the variance in this game. During each free spin, any Multiplier Reel values activated by Anubis symbols are added to a running total displayed at the bottom of the reels. That running total persists for the entire feature - it does not reset between spins. A multiplier that lands on spin 2 is still part of the total on spin 15. Late spins in a Free Spins round are worth meaningfully more than early ones.

I watched that running total climb across one of the four Free Spins entries in my session. The counter at the bottom updated each time an Anubis symbol activated a lane, and the value of each subsequent spin increased as the sum grew. The counter stays visible throughout so the accumulation is trackable in real time, not just revealed at the end of the feature.

The base game runs with a steady Egyptian orchestral loop. During standard spins, there is no audio change that distinguishes a multiplied win from an unmultiplied win of similar size - the music does not shift when the Multiplier Reel activates in the base game. Free Spins switches to a different audio layer. The function is the same; the register is distinct.

Feature Buy is available via a button that stays visible throughout play. It opens a menu with the price for direct Free Spins entry. The cap: only accessible at bets up to $50.00. At the maximum $100.00 bet, the button does nothing. That is an unusual ceiling for a high-stakes title and the rules do not give an explanation for it.

My Test Session: 1,019 Spins

I ran 1,019 spins in the PG Soft demo at public.pg-demo.com in June 2026.

Four Free Spins entries in 1,019 spins. In this run that averaged roughly once every 255 spins. On a minimum bet that is a long gap; at mid-range stakes the frequency is the same but the nominal cost of waiting is higher.

The ~17-spin longest dry streak reads short, and it is. The cascade mechanic is part of the reason: a single spin that produces a cascade chain registers multiple sub-wins in sequence, so the measurement of "no payout at all" is compressed compared to a fixed-payline game. The base hit rate ran at roughly one paying result in four spins. The cascade chains mean one spin can produce a run of paying steps even when the total payout is modest.

The session high of 288x came from a base game spin with multiple Multiplier Reel lanes activating together. That is what I hit in this session, not a cap. The in-game confirmed maximum is 10,000x.

During one of the four Free Spins rounds, I kept an eye on the spin counter - "X REMAINING FREE SPINS" visible at the top of the feature overlay, counting down - alongside the accumulated multiplier building at the bottom. By the middle of that round the two numbers together gave a clear read on where the feature stood: spins remaining, and how much each remaining spin was worth. The last few spins of that entry were landing with a notably higher total than the first few, with the accumulated multiplier already built up.

I ran lucky in this session. The balance was noticeably ahead by the end - more than the published RTP would predict over 1,019 spins. That is a single high-volatility run, not a reliable figure.

Test limitations. The session ran in demo mode with virtual credits - not real money, and 1,019 spins is one high-volatility run. The theoretical 10,000x maximum win did not land in this session. A single session of this size is too small to draw conclusions about long-term return rates.
